For Creative Integration of Practice and Education in the Academy

The NCARB Prize supports combined practice and education projects at the university level. Submissions must represent unique efforts to integrate education and practice initiatives while allowing students to earn academic credit. Architecture schools with NAAB-accredited degree programs are invited to submit established projects, completed or in progress by the end of the Fall 2008 term, that exemplify the merging of education with practice.
Awards
Six cash awards, totaling more than $60,000, will be presented:
- Five awards of $7,500
- One grand prize award of $25,000
At the discretion of the jury, honorable mention may be awarded.
The six winning programs will be selected prior to the ACSA Annual Meeting and announced during the ACSA Awards Ceremony. All prize-winning submissions will be exhibited at the NCARB Annual Meeting, featured in NCARB's Direct Connection, displayed on the NCARB web site, and highlighted in the NCARB Prize Book. Publicity about the Prize winners also will be submitted to the AIA, ACSA, AIAS, and the national media.
